Queen Charlotte, British Columbia

Queen Charlotte is located in beautiful British Columbia, Canada on the Haida Gwaii (Queen Charlotte) Islands.  They are north of Vancouver Island,  and just 40 miles south of the Alaska border.

If traveling by automobile you'll find Prince Rupert is the final city where the Yellowhead Highway 16 meets the Pacific Ocean. You and your vehicle then need to board the ferry to Skidegate Landing on the Haida Gwaii, just 2 kilometers from Queen Charlotte City.  On the breathtaking journey, you will travel through the Coastal Mountains along the Skeena River, one of the largest rivers in the province, and one of the longest un-dammed rivers in the world, and then proceed across the Hecate Strait.

While you're in Queen Charlotte, there are many attractions and local amenities for your enjoyment.

The Gwaii Hannas Park:  Together, the Government of Canada and the Council of the Haida Nation manage the special place called Gwaii Haanas through a unique agreement.  For some visitors, this opportunity to witness a living culture, and immerse themselves in nature is a special experience.
